DESCRIPTION:

Primary Responsibility:
Working closely with the finance department of our 100% subsidiary, this
person will assist in the development of management reporting systems,
coordinate reconciliations between JGAAP and USGAAP, facilitate monthly
and quarterly closings to be within 25 days of periods end, and analyze
and project all components of the company's sales, gross margin,
operating costs and net margins from its activities in Japan.

Responsibilities:
- As part of the company's forecasting cycle, this person will prepare a
sales forecast for each remaining month of the fiscal year. This will
include monthly projections of year-on-year comparable sales growth, new
sales and other key business metrics. This person will be working
closely with the CFO/COO and the CFO/COO of the subsidiary to complete
these forecasts accurately and in a timely manner. Remarks / comments
will be prepared to discuss variances between the current forecast and
1) previous forecasts, 2) prior year results, and 3) annual operating plan.
- As part of the company's monthly closing cycle, this person will
review actual monthly sales versus the previously created forecasts.
This person will prepare remarks / comments to discuss variances between
the current month's actual performance versus the current forecast,
prior year results, and annual operating plan.
- This person will also work closely with subsidiary and wholly owned
entity's finance staff to enable a swift and accurate closing of all
monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
- Provide guidance and assistance to local management in the ongoing
enhancements of accounting and management reporting systems.
- Prepare presentations for executive management, and to the board of
directors. Communicate important changes to business dynamics, that may
occur at the subsidiary level, to corporate headquarters as well as
manage uploads of this information into the firm's corporate planning
systems.
- Prepare multi-year financial projections as part of the company's long
range strategic plans.
- Address ongoing ad hoc requests and projects that may be assigned by
either the CEO or CFO.
- Assist, where required, in other business development and shareholder
related activities.

Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree, in Finance/Accounting. MBA preferred
- Minimum 5+ years work experience
- A deep working knowledge of JGAAP and as a plus knowledge of USGAAP.
- Strong people management skills
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience in financial planning
and analysis or budgeting
- Solid working proficiency of spreadsheet / database tools (e.g., Excel )
- Solid oral and written communication skills in English in addition to
Japanese
