DESCRIPTION:
Human Resources Manager
Reporting to the Director of Administration, (Tokyo) and reporting
functionally to the Director of Human Resources for the Asia Pacific
Shows Division, you will manage all human resources functions for the
show (Tokyo) including staffing, training, employee benefits,
immigration, employee relations and workers' compensation.
You will also be required to:
-Involve in overseeing HR initiatives and policies for the show, with a
significant focus on managing projects such as the roll out of the new
performance management system, compensation and benefits reviews, HR
policy communication, work culture enhancement;
-Manage the application of human resources policies and procedures and
ensure they are followed; maintain and update rules and policies for
artists and employees.
-Act as liaison between the Tokyo operations and the Human Resources in
Asia and in the Americas;
-Responsible for the recruitment. Ensure proper integration of new
employees and artists;
-Manage the workers' compensation program and maintain compliance;
-Administrate the employee benefits program in close collaboration with
the Benefits Specialist in the Americas. Also track family and medical
leave allowance and other leaves accordingly;
-Assist in coordination of company immigration issues by gathering
information for the renewal of work permits and assisting artists in
renewing visas and other related issues;
-Organize ongoing employee performance evaluation, merit evaluations and
internal promotions; coordinate compensation for all new hires with
assistance of Asia HR;
-Assist and advise Company Management and Department Heads in all
employee relation issues, including progressive discipline, suspensions
and terminations following all appropriate local labor laws;
-Assist with coordinating corporate training and development programs;
-Coach and assist departmental managers on proper HR related issues;
-Responsible for supervision and training of the Human Resources
Technician:
-All other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources and the
Director of Administration.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR management;
-Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Outlook;
-Substantial hands-on experience in Japan is essential as is a thorough
knowledge of Japanese labor law;
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
-Excellent planning and organizational skills.
