DESCRIPTION:

The Company
The company is one of the largest licensing agencies in the world,
representing brands and creative content in the development and
management of licensed merchandise and promotional programs. With a
presence across the globe, the company is responsible for managing brand
equity through product extension for a long list of classic and
up-and-coming properties.

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President for International Licensing (overseas
HQ), the Account Director will be responsible for:
-Supervising the Japan Representative Office, 1 Account Manager and 1
Office Assistant.
-Maintaining and enhancing brand equity for global properties.
-Sustaining relationships at appropriately senior levels at existing
licensee companies.
-Managing all complex business relationships on a daily basis so that
approvals, administration and contractual matters are correctly and
professionally executed.
-Working closely with existing licensees to maximize their performance
and product development excellence.
-Working closely with the Japan market licensing agent, through regular
meetings and activities.
-Establishing a transparent and positive relationship with the overseas
HQ, by focusing on clear analysis of business and organizational issues
and pursuing logical, purposeful action to achieve company goals.
-Providing annual/quarterly budget information by licensees,
incorporating factual data and background information.

Experience and Attributes Required:
-A senior sales executive with significant experience of working for a
multi-national or international company
-Experience with a consumer products, media, licensing or other relevant
business.
-Outstanding communication abilities. Strong negotiation and
presentation skills (Japanese and English).
-Understand project development, art approvals and the licensing process.
-Good command of PC (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Must be comfortable dealing with overseas licensees, manufacturers, and
territory agents, and with licensees at Director level and above.
-Should understand product development, art approvals, sales generation
techniques and the licensing process.
