DESCRIPTION:
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Scope of Work:
- Participates in total hotel management as a member of the hotel executive committee.
- Able to direct, plan and organize the functions of administration and strategic planning of food, beverage and entertainment of a large flagship Tokyo property.
- Clearly describes, assigns and delegates responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage sub departments to ensure maximum efficiency of the food & beverage division.
- Responsible for management, continuous evaluation, development plans of all food and beverage venues including staff performance, improving bench strength and the ongoing encouragement of teams and implementation of those plans.
- Strive to improve established hotel Food and Beverage standards to exceed guest expectations and maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of Food and Beverage management and operation
- Minimum 5 years experience of management for 3 or 4 restaurants as F&B manager,
and minimum 3 years banquet manager or convention service manager
- Minimum 3 years experience as Food and Beverage Director with international hotel
- Experience of budget preparation and implementation
- Strategic Food and Beverage marketing capability
- Knowledge of market/ customer/ competitor trends and behavior including political, economical, social issues
- Knowledge of compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within work place
- Relationship building skill and communication skill with Executive Chef, Director of Sales & Marketing, and subordinates
- Good knowledge of Japanese culture, work styles, business etiquette and protocols
