DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director, you will be required to:

Media Relations and Promotional Planning and Execution:
-Prepare PR schedules and strategies for assigned markets to ensure maximum media coverage of show;
-Design, propose and coordinate local publicity events in cooperation with the Company Manager, PR firm and show Marketing team when required to maximize media coverage;
-Coordinate and act on all sponsor and VIP requests in each market and accompany artists on promotional appearances;
-Coordinate all media interviews with artists and staff and perform general interviews;
-Coordinate media training as needed or requested;
-Manage media ticket requests;
-Familiarize yourself with other shows and players to understand all possible media angles;
-Read PR coverage for shows in Japan and suggest ways to improve results when applicable;
-Work closely with the PR staff and assist with development and implementation of a regional pr strategy;
-Prepare monthly PR & Marketing reports for the Senior Director;
-Attend all PR meetings to ensure meetings are productive & efficient;
-Seek and secure pr opportunities utilizing personal contacts and increase pr activities which leads to increase in revenue;
-Work with the Senior Director and Marketing Manger to increase the number of buyout programs, sponsorships / partnerships for all shows.
Reports:
-Provide the Senior Marketing Director with relevant information regarding on-site media and promotional activity in each market and take part in tour meetings as deemed appropriate;
Administration:
-Create and update artist bios as needed;
-Keep PR material up-to-date;
-Supervise the press material inventory;
-Review contract provisions concerning artists' paid activities and keep track of such activities to ensure limits are not exceeded;
-Administrative related work for the Senior Director;
-Perform all other tasks requested by the Senior Director.

Qualifications

-The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in communications or marketing;
-Minimum of three years' relevant experience, preferably in public relations, marketing or communications, along with experience with Japanese media (radio, newspapers, etc.);
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for Windows applications;
-Knowledge of Internet;
-Teamwork skills;
-Rigour and attention to detail;
-Leadership;
-Ability to think strategically;
-Autonomy;
-Synthesis and analysis skills;
-Organizational and priority-management skills;
-Available to work in Tokyo.
